Find out more about Safeguarding Sunday

Safeguarding Sunday is an important day to highlight the importance of safeguarding within the diocese, the Catholic Church and across society. It is a set of principles, processes and policies that aims to keep our communities safe, particular the most vulnerable.
Safeguarding Sunday, as highlighted by Archbishop John’s pastoral letter, is about recognising that safeguarding is an integral part of the Church’s mission. It is a day to ensure all our parishioners and communities understand what safeguarding is within the context of the Catholic Church, the structures in place to keep our communities safe, our commitment to those that have been harmed by abuse and the support available to anyone who wishes to raise a concern.
