Caritas Southwark will focus on identifying young people in our parishes and schools, who are vulnerable and could be led to knife crime, gangs. drugs and similar activities that put their welfare and future, and that of others, at risk.

Through encouragement to make good choices, alongside personal support and opportunities to grow in a positive environment, Caritas Southwark aims to improve the lives and prospects of our most vulnerable young people in London and Kent.

The Commission will facilitate mentoring, the acquisition of skills and recreational facilities for young people. They will be identified through the Southwark Education Commission, Southwark Catholic Youth Service and Police, as well as existing Children's Societies and local initiatives, for example, through parish outreach.
