Parish Administrator
St Elizabeth’s Catholic Church, Richmond

Part-time, 15 hours per week • £15–£17 per hour (depending on experience)

St Elizabeth’s Catholic Church is seeking a warm, organised, and proactive Parish Administrator to play a central role in the life of our parish.

We are looking for an experienced and confident administrator, someone with a proven record of looking after a dynamic office environment, who can help to ensure the smooth operations of our parish site and team. Key responsibilities include:

  • Welcoming visitors and handling phone/email enquiries in a friendly, professional manner.
  • Maintaining parish records, databases, and sacramental paperwork.
  • Supporting parish events and seasonal liturgical preparations.
  • Coordinating volunteers and hospitality arrangements.
  • Assisting with financial administration and donor records.
  • Overseeing publications, newsletters, and parish communications.
  • Ensuring the parish office runs efficiently and remains well-organised.

About you:

  • Friendly, approachable, and professional.
  • Proven administrative experience in a busy or public-facing role.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Confident with technology, including Apple software (Pages, Numbers, Mail).
  • Highly organised with strong attention to detail.
  • Able to work discreetly with confidential information.
  • Adaptable and willing to meet the changing needs of parish life.
  • Understanding of Catholic parish culture and ethos.

Terms:

  • Location: On-site at St Elizabeth’s Catholic Church, Richmond
  • Hours: 15 hours per week, Monday–Friday, 9:30am–12:30pm (some flexibility possible)
  • Contract: Permanent (subject to 6-month probation)
  • Pay: £15–£17 per hour (depending on experience)
  • Holidays: Statutory entitlement, pro-rata
  • Pension: NEST scheme
  • No provision for home working
