Popemobile journeys

Friday, 17th September 2010
At around 5:00 pm the Pope will travel in the popemobile
from Lambeth Palace across Lambeth Bridge and along Millbank,
the Pope arrives at the Palace of Westminster at around 5:15 pm.
There will be limited space along this route and limited vantage points
from which to see the Pope.

Saturday 18th  September 2010
At 6:00 pm the Pope will travel in the popemobile
along Horse Guards Road, The Mall, Constitution Hill and Hyde Park Corner
before arriving at Hyde Park for the Prayer Vigil at around 6:30 pm.

Apostolic Nunciature
54, Parkside, London, SW19 5NE

The Pope will be staying at the Apostolic Nuciature during his visit.
Those wishing to greet him may gather to join him as he leaves in the morning
and welcome him as he returns in the evening.

On Thursday, 16th September, from 9:00 pm
Vigil of Prayer to Welcome the Holy Father
on Wimbledon Common, opposite the Apostolic Nunciature
Please bring banners, flags and candles if possible.
(The Holy Father is due to arrive at Heathrow Airport (from Glasgow) at 9:15 pm
and continue his journey to the Apostolic Nunciature)

On Saturday, 18th September, from 6:30 pm until 8:30pm
KSC Candle-light Vigil
The Knights of St Columba have arranged a two hour candle-light Vigil
on Wimbledon Common, opposite the Apostolic Nunciature

On Sunday, 19th September, at 8:00 am
Farewell to the Holy Father as he leaves the Apostolic Nunciature
on Wimbledon Common, opposite the Apostolic Nunciature
(The Holy Father will travel to Wimbledon Park, where he will leave at 8:45 am
by helicopter for the Mass of Beatification at Cofton Park, Birmingham)


Saint Peter's Residence

Please do not expect to see the Pope on his arrival at or departure from
Saint Peter's Residence in Vauxhall.
Meadow Road and ajoining roads will be closed.
