Sung Latin (Novus Ordo) candlelit Votive Mass in honour of Our Lady

Join us for a beautiful Advent tradition: the Rorate Caeli Mass for young adults. This is a sung Latin (Novus Ordo) candlelit Votive Mass in honour of Our Lady.

The candlelight symbolises the Lord Jesus Christ, the Light of the World, gently breaking into our darkness.

The Rorate Mass is an ancient Advent tradition. Its name comes from the opening words of Isaiah: “Rorate caeli desuper” meaning “Drop down dew, O heavens, from above.”

Celebrant: Fr Phil Andrews

Music: St George’s Cathedral Lay Clerks

Location: St George’s Cathedral, Lambeth Rd, London SE1 6HR

Date and Time: Thursday 18 December, 7:00 PM

After Mass: Wine and mince pies

In the quiet glow of candlelight, we prepare our hearts for Christ’s coming. All young adults and students (18-35) are warmly invited.
