Thousands at Mass for London's Migrant Workers

London bishops unite in support of migrant workers

This was the colourful scene inside Westminster Cathedral on Monday, 7th May 2007 when London's bishops, Cardinal Cormac (Westminster),
Archbishop Kevin (Southwark) and Bishop Thomas McMahon (Brentwood) were joined by other bishops, including Bishop Patrick, and about fifty priests to concelebrate the Mass of Saint Joseph the Worker. The Mass was offered in the presence of the Apostolic Nuncio, Archbishop Faustino Sainz Muņoz, and an estimated 3,000 people.

The Cathedral was filled to capacity and a good number of people had to follow the Mass outside, where a broadcast link had been prepared.
