Archbishop Kevin offered the 26th Memorial Mass in honour of the Servant of God Frank Duff, the founder of the Legion of Mary, in the Cathedral on Saturday, 18th November.
Frank Duff founded the Legion of Mary in 1921. He died in November 1980 and prayers are being offered for his beatification.
The Legion of Mary is the largest apostolic organisation for lay people with more than three million members worldwide in virtually every country.
In his homily, Archbishop Kevin told the congregation that he himself had been a member of the Legion in his school days. He said that members of the Legion were called to a unique role in the life of the Church.
