On Thursday, 24th January, 2008 Archbishop Kevin dedicated the school chapel at the John Fisher School, Purley.
Before the final blessing of the Mass of Dedication, a picture of St John Fisher was blessed by Bishop Howard, who is a former pupil of the school.

Canon James Pannett, Parish Priest of St John the Baptist, Purley, holding the relics that were to be sealed in the chapel altar. The relics were of St Edward the Confessor, St Thomas a Becket and St Edmund of Canterbury.

The picture of St John Fisher in the chapel to the right of the organ. The picture was blessed by Bishop Howard before the final blessing at the Mass of Dedication.

The recently restored picture of St John Fisher which used to hang in the former temporary school chapel. It is thought to be Italian from about 1850.
